Child development within the Early Years is crucial and sets the foundation for future learning. We believe that children learn and develop best when they feel happy, safe and secure in their surroundings. Loversall Farm Day Nursery is dedicated to providing high quality care and education to all children within the early years by working in close partnerships with parents and carers, offering children consistency throughout their learning journey. Through ongoing observation and assessment, passionate practitioners will identify what children already know and can do and use children’s knowledge, interests and experiences to plan an effective Early Years curriculum to support future learning.

British Values

The importance of promoting the British values has been fundamental at Loversall Farm Day Nursery since it was launched as part of the 2015 Common Inspection Framework.

The British values are at the heart of our curriculum. The staff at Loversall Farm Day Nursery support the children to develop a culture of tolerance, mutual respect, inclusion, diversity and equality of opportunity. We will support children to further explore the world in which they live by providing opportunities for children to understand that they are an important part of a diverse society.

We will embed the rules of democracy, rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect through everyday practice by being positive role models and challenging bad choices. During their time at Loversall Farm Day Nursery we will ensure that all children are valued, have a voice and are at the centre of everything we do.

Prioritising safety and security: our commitment to your child's well-being

We believe that the safety and security of your child is paramount. With this in mind our nursery has been designed to ensure the safety and welfare of each child.

All staff hold a DBS and undergo a strict recruitment procedure to ensure high standards are maintained within the nursery.

A monitored CCTV system in all rooms and outdoor play area provides additional reassurance to parents and carers

Access into the nursery is closely monitored and parents are able to enter into nursery using a visual intercom system.

Anyone who attends at the nursery to collect a child who is not known to staff members will be asked to wait outside until contact has been made with main carer and identification sought.

Where parents have advised that a family member or friend is to collect a child a password system will always be used.

Any visitors to the nursery are chaperoned at all times by a member of the nursery team.
